Whether it is assisting elite athletes train for the next level of competition or helping you find your rhythm in a foreign landscape, we have the team to motivate your next evolution. Mario Vazquez

Operations Manager / Trainer

As a lifetime athlete,  Mario knows what it take to be in peak physical condition; 12+ years of dedicated experience combined with exercise and conditioning knowledge allow provide him with top tier training abilities. Whether it be general health, sports conditioning, bodybuilding prep, losing weight, or  getting lean, you can be sure Mario will help you reach your goals.

Dave Jack

Fitness Director / Trainer / Instructor

After being a collegiate freestyle skier, Dave has since worked over 10 years as a career focused trainer and sports coach. He believes in teaching the body how to move properly in the gym in order to move well and avoid injury outside the gym. He specializes in coaching athletics with certified specializations in- Corrective Exercise, Performance Enhancement, Functional Movement, Weight Loss, Metabolic coaching, Pre/Post Natal Fitness and Fitness Nutrition gives every client professional and comprehensive results

Chris Cloyd

Trainer / Instructor

Since the gym's inception in 2010, Chris has specialized in work with performance athletes in the winter sports world, triathletes, and endurance athletes, working as a personal trainer and coach since 2007. Movement/mobility and functional strength guide his philosophy, and it shows in his group exercise classes as much as his 1-on-1 training.

Cicely Smith

Instructor

With graduate degrees in Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition, and Culinary Arts along with the completion of yoga teacher training, Cicely utilizes a holistic approach to her practice and classes when she isn't busy teaching and participating in triathlons, culinary seminars, and collegiate courses.

Claudia Calvert

Trainer

The first eight years of Claudia's career were spent at Tahoe Forest Hospital training clients from 8 to 94 and taught classe. Claudia participated in wellness programs for North Tahoe Fire, Cal Fire, Town of Truckee, and local schools before focusing on personal training here for the last two years. She holds certifications from NSCA and NASM.

Randy House

Instructor

With 20 years of group exercise instruction, Randy has shifted focus to every level of indoor Cycling/Spin classes. He's ridden dozens of century rides, 5 Death Rides, competed in several X-Terra triathlons and an Iron Man 70.3. Also a current member of the Squaw Valley Ski Patrol, Randy holds certificates from the  Aerobic Fitness Association of America and in Spinning.

Kim Ligman

Excited to incorporate her Bay Area-grown spinning and group exercise experience with PacWest Athletics Outdoor Bootcamp prowess in Tahoe’s beautiful environment, Kim runs her own programming for the early risers and is a formidable substitute instructor for any of our classes.

Shelley Nielsen

Instructor

Avoiding anything that feels like punishment for the sake of health (e.g. dieting), Shelley likes to get out of her comfort zone and utilizes her ACE Certifications as a Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor for High Intensity Interval Training programming.

Devin Noe

Instructor

A former college athlete and a lifelong passion of health and fitness, Devin has been working as a Personal Trainer and Sports Performance Coach since 2011. She can be found applying the ideas of movement, nutrition, and recovery / regeneration using fun, innovative techniques both in her classes and personal training sessions.

Martha Simon

Instructor

Anything and everything related to maintaining a healthy lifestyle is at the top of Martha's list.  Certified in Schwinn & Spinning, Martha brings her love for music and road-cycling into the spin room to guide, motivate and inspire riders in her class.  While not on a bike indoors or out, Martha serves as the Executive Director of Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation raising money to support our local hospital and community health.

Tarin O’Donnell

Trainer / Instructor

Fitness and an active lifestyle have been engrained in Tarin since she was little. Tarin grew up in a tight knit wrestling family, was introduced to the mat at age 4 and started wrestling herself at 8 and continued throughout high school. Wrestling and other sports took it’s toll on her joints which inspired her become a certified yoga instructor after high school. Being an athlete minded person, functional movement and mobility are key values in her training to teach the body to move as a unit and help prevent injury.

Chandler Bertoli

Instructor

Chandler originally moved to Truckee in 2007 to follow her passion for snowboarding. She always enjoyed exercise, but after becoming a mom, she realized the importance of being fit in order to keep up with her two sons. Chandler teaches group fitness classes for fun- hoping to build relationships and promote a healthy community. She wants to help others be strong in order to fully enjoy all that mountain life has to offer. Her love of 80’s jams, along with 90’s hip-hop, comes through in her playlists for her classes. When not at the gym, she can be found snowboarding, gardening, birding, camping, volunteering, making things, and enjoying time with her friends and family.

Samantha Conaway

Trainer / Instructor

Sam holds a certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine with a passion for strength training. Her list of accomplishments include being a 3x state champion, a world qualifier, and a 2nd degree blackbelt in taekwondo. In addition, she was a previous cross country and track star, and also competed in an NPC bikini body building competition. As a young, eager, fitness enthusiast, Sam is beginning her career by helping others to achieve a healthier lifestyle.

Hannah McGhee

Trainer / Instructor

Hannah is a certified National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer, American Council on Exercise Mind and Body Specialist, Yoga instructor and Barre instructor.  She grew up in Memphis, TN and attended school at the University of Arkansas where she studied Journalism and African and African American Studies and worked as a Razorback football recruiter.   She then moved to Truckee, CA where she was a yoga instructor and personal trainer at the Ritz- Carlton Lake Tahoe. Hannah left for Jackson Hole for a year and a half where she continued her passion for fitness by managing and teaching at a boutique fitness studio.  She is now happily back in Truckee where she loves hanging out with her dog, eating comfort food and being outside. Hannah has been personal training for seven years as well as teaching classes such as stand-up paddle board yoga, yoga sculpt, bootcamp, barre, TRX and more!

Amber Finch

Amber has been a Truckee local for 15 years and has been a dedicated spin instructor at Performance for 6 years. When she isn’t teaching at the gym, she loves spending her time outside mostly nordic skiing or split boarding in the winter, and paddle boarding, mountain biking and road biking in the summer. Previously, Amber was a competitive Mountain Biker but now dedicates most of her time to her two children. Every summer she insists on making a goal of completing one century ride, one triathlon and one mountain bike race. She absolutely loves the activities that Tahoe has to offer year-round and is always outside enjoying them with her friends and family!

Casey Curtis

Trainer

An avid physical enthusiast, Casey Curtis has enjoyed working with those hoping to meet their fitness goals for over ten years, and within the Tahoe Basin specifically for the past three. Having played basketball through college, the hard work he put in yesterday translates clearly today, applied towards himself as well as others. A former competitive powerlifter and current Olympic weightlifter, the pursuit of strength in its absolute sense persists as fuel for his mind and body to continue, year after year. Accredited through NASM, as a trainer, Casey hopes to challenge his clients on not only a physical level, but on a mental level as well, in order to be the best possible versions of themselves.
